Sheep wool process: Shearing and washing

Our sheep are of the Corriedale breed, and it is necessary to shear them each year for their well-being. Each sheep produces approximately 3 kilos of wool annually. In this activity, you will observe how the wool is sheared from a sheep using an electric machine. We will also show you the process that follows the shearing.

Spinning mill
A portion of the wool is taken to the spinning mill for washing, a process you can witness to see how clean wool is obtained for spinning.
