Just around the ranch

We will visit a field of alfalfa crops and take in the view from the hilltop to see Villa Cerro Castillo and the ranch facilities. Our horses are ready to welcome riders with or without prior horseback riding experience. Before departure, we will provide an introduction on how to handle the horses.

    Laguna escondida and condor resting roosts 

    To fully understand the daily tasks of a typical ranch in Patagonia, we will visit the fields of Anahi del Valle ranch. Along the way, passengers may spot typical local fauna, and upon arrival, condors resting roosts, which are possible to see from a distance on the cliffside of the hill. Our horses are prepared to welcome passengers with or without riding experience. Before departure, we will provide passengers a safety briefing and instructions on how to handle horses.

    Laguna escondida and condor resting roosts 

    We will visit the fields of the Anahí del Valle ranch to understand the daily work of a typical Patagonian estancia. Along the way, we may spot local wildlife, and upon arrival, we will see the condors’ resting roosts from a distance, located on the cliffside of the hill. Our horses are ready to accommodate riders with or without horseback riding experience. Before departure, we will provide an introduction on how to handle the horses.

      Hito 1

      We start the ride at Cerro Castillo, continue through grassy fields, then to Hito 1 which is the starting point of the border with Argentina. At high grounds, we pass through condor colonies, then through “El 1” summer grazing field with forests and return to Cerro Castillo bordering Route 9.
